As of June 2026, the Peruvian insurance market, including Life and Non-Life business, generated premiums of US$3,621 million, compared with US$3,239 million in June 2025. This represents nominal year-on-year growth of 11.8%, indicating a significant expansion in the value of insurance premiums during the period.

 

The market comprises 17 competing insurers when Life and Non-Life entities are considered separately. This structure provides a concentrated competitive environment in which a limited number of companies account for a substantial proportion of total market activity.

RÍMAC ranked as the leading insurer in Peru with a 26.8% market share, followed by PACÍFICO with 23.2% and MAPFRE PERÚ with 13.4%. Together, these three insurers represented a combined 63.5% of the market, highlighting the strong position of the leading companies in the Peruvian insurance industry.

The Top Ten insurers by market share were RÍMAC, PACÍFICO, MAPFRE PERÚ, LA POSITIVA, INTERSEGURO, VIVIR SEGUROS, PROTECTA, BNP PARIBAS CARDIF, CRECER SEGUROS and CHUBB PERÚ. Their combined presence reflects the competitive structure of the Peruvian insurance market and the relevance of these companies across the country's Life and Non-Life insurance segments.
