
INSURANCE BROKERS IN BOLIVIA MARKET RESEARCH REPORT
The intermediated premium volume in Bolivia reached USD 375.8 million as of September 2025, with an annual variation of 3.2%. Life Insurance accounted for USD 229.1 million and showed a variation of –0.4%. General Insurance reached USD 140.5 million with a variation of 9.2%, while Surety totaled USD 6.2 million with a variation of 12.1%. The analysis of intermediated volume by coverage, focusing on the first ten lines ranked by USD amount, shows different evolutions. Motor reached USD 44.2 million with an annual variation of 9.2%, representing the highest-volume category in the group. Miscellaneous Risks totaled USD 25.4 million and showed a variation of 2.1%. Fire reached USD 18.4 million with a variation of 29.1%, while Health reported USD 19.1 million with a variation of –3.7%. Liability reached USD 10.8 million with an annual variation of 15.6%. Bonds accounted for USD 6.2 million and registered a variation of 12.1%. Personal Accidents reached USD 3.9 million with a variation of 2.1%. Theft totaled USD 311.7 thousand with a variation of 7.6%. Aviation reached USD 1.2 million with a variation of 48.6%, and Agricultural lines reached USD 18.9 thousand with a variation of –14.0%. These results show how the main lines evolved in the broker channel.
When reviewing the brokers with the highest annual increases in market share of intermediated premiums, Interseguros registered a growth of 2.21 percentage points. Tu Broker Sudamericana Corredores followed with 1.70 points, while Consultores de Seguros increased its share by 1.16 points. Patria Corredores showed a 0.53-point increase and Cubre a 0.38-point increase. Corredora G&G grew by 0.37 points, Corresur by 0.22 points, Justa by 0.18 points, International Insurance Brokers by 0.13 points and Proprese by 0.12 points. These variations reflect changes in the competitive structure of the brokerage sector.
In the insurer ranking based on market share growth in premiums intermediated through brokers, Credinform recorded an increase of 1.23 points. Fortaleza showed a 0.77-point increase, Nacional Seguros a 0.75-point increase, BISA a 0.43-point increase and Mercantil Santa Cruz a 0.32-point increase. These changes represent the movements in insurer participation within the brokered channel.
In the Life segment, the brokers with the highest quarterly market share at the close of the last period were Consultores de Seguros, Universal Brokers, Sudamericana Corredores, Corredores Conseso and Kieffer y Asociados. Their presence outlines the structure of distribution for Life premiums through intermediaries during the quarter.
For the Non-Life segment, the leading brokers in quarterly market share were Sudamericana Corredores, Kieffer y Asociados, Corredores Conseso, BCS Brokers Corporativos and Consultores de Seguros. These firms concentrated the largest proportion of intermediated Non-Life premiums in the period under review.
