September 2025 Report

The LatAm Finance and Fintech Apps Monitor provides a comprehensive analysis of the leading mobile applications in the fields of fintech, finance, insurance, and crypto across 18 Latin American countries.

This report offers readers not only an overview of the competitive landscape but also a reliable benchmark of which apps are gaining traction among users in the region.

At the core of the study is the App Popularity Score (APS) a metric designed to go beyond simple download figures.

The APS combines and weights a range of critical variables, including: Recent download volumes; Growth rate of active usage; Number of active users; Level of in-app activity; User retention rates; Uninstall ratios; Engagement metrics and App ratings and user reviews.

In short, this methodology ensures that rankings reflect not just how many people have downloaded an app, but how actively they use it, how engaged they remain, and how positively they perceive it. By integrating these factors, the APS provides a more accurate and holistic measurement of an app’s market position.

Because Google Play and the Apple App Store operate with different underlying metrics and data structures, the APS is slightly adapted for each platform. This adjustment ensures that the rankings are both reliable and comparable over time, while still capturing the unique dynamics of Android and iOS ecosystems.

This combination of methodology and coverage makes the report a practical tool for industry professionals, investors, and analysts who seek to understand the evolving landscape of digital finance in the region.
