The Colombian financial sector closed June 2026 with 3,033 million USD in aggregate net profit, equivalent to 10,190 billion Colombian pesos, according to the analysis of 57 financial institutions. Of these, 43 competitors reported profits during the period, representing 75% of the entities analyzed. The results show a sector in which profitability remains concentrated among a relatively limited group of leading institutions, despite the broad number of competitors operating in the market.
The 102.5 million USD net profit benchmark represents the reference level calculated from the performance of all competitors analyzed in Colombia. Rather than measuring the result of a single institution, the benchmark indicates the level of profitability an entity needs to reach to stand out within the national financial industry. Against this reference, institutions generating substantially higher results demonstrate a stronger contribution to sector profitability and a more significant competitive position.

BANCOLOMBIA led the ranking with a net profit of 1,166.3 million USD, followed by BANCO DAVIVIENDA with 363.3 million USD and BANCO GNB SUDAMERIS with 229.0 million USD. The ranking also includes BANCO DE BOGOTÁ, CORFI GNB SUDAMERIS, CITIBANK, CORFICOLOMBIANA S.A., BBVA COLOMBIA, BANCO DE OCCIDENTE and BANAGRARIO.
The concentration of earnings is particularly significant: the three leading institutions—BANCOLOMBIA, BANCO DAVIVIENDA and BANCO GNB SUDAMERIS—generated 58.0% of the total profits recorded by the industry. This concentration highlights the competitive gap between the largest profit generators and the broader universe of financial institutions, while the fact that 43 of 57 analyzed entities were profitable indicates that positive results were nevertheless distributed across a substantial majority of the market. At the close of June 2026, therefore, Colombia's financial sector combined broad-based profitability with a markedly concentrated distribution of earnings among its leading competitors.
