Bolivia’s Life and Non-Life insurance market generated BOB 3,592 million in premiums as of July 2026, compared with BOB 3,229 million in the same period of 2025. This represents nominal year-on-year growth of 11.2%, with the increase largely influenced by exchange-rate variation during the period.

A total of 18 insurers compete in the Bolivian market when Life and Non-Life entities are considered separately. The competitive landscape remains distributed across several companies, with no individual insurer holding a dominant share of total premiums.

NACIONAL SEGUROS VIDA Y SALUD led Bolivia’s insurance market with an 11.9% market share as of July 2026. ALIANZA ranked second with 10.8%, followed by UNIVIDA with 9.9%. Together, the three largest insurers accounted for 32.6% of the market.

The remainder of the Top 10 ranking comprised LA BOLIVIANA CIACRUZ PERSONALES, GRUPO FINANCIERO BISA, LA BOLIVIANA CIACRUZ, ALIANZA VIDA, UNIBIENES, NACIONAL SEGUROS PATRIMONIALES and CREDINFORM, highlighting a competitive market structure beyond the three leading positions.
