Argentina’s insurance market reached USD 18.188 billion in premiums at June 2026, covering Life, Non-Life and Occupational Risks, compared with USD 15.4512 billion in June 2025. This represents a 17.7% year-on-year nominal increase in dollar terms, although the expansion is largely explained by exchange-rate variation during the period.
Measured in pesos, the market recorded premiums of ARS 27.101 trillion in June 2026, up from ARS 19.144 trillion a year earlier. The nominal year-on-year increase was 41.6%, reflecting the combined effect of premium growth and currency movements in the Argentine market.

Competition remains broad, with 185 insurance companies operating in the market when Life and Non-Life entities are considered separately. Within this competitive landscape, FEDERACION PATRONAL leads the market with a 9.7% share, followed by SANCOR SEGUROS at 7.1% and PREVENCIÓN ART at 5.7%.
The remainder of the Top Ten is composed of LA CAJA, PROVINCIA ART, SAN CRISTÓBAL, LA SEGUNDA, MERCANTIL ANDINA, ZURICH and BERNARDINO RIVADAVIA. Together, the ten leading insurers account for 22.5% of the Argentine insurance market, highlighting a competitive structure in which the leading position is significant but the overall market remains distributed across a large number of participants.
